Job Description

We are an Executive Search Firm specialized in Senior and Middle management level placements.

Our client is highly diversified , de-centrally organized and privately owned group of companies with core business in mining and construction; manufacturing plants and sales / service companies around the world; manufacturer of hydraulic shovels , rigid dump trucks , wheel loaders and bulldozers for the international mining industry

Position Title : Service Manager Assistant - Mining Equipment.
Location : Kolkata Area / West Bengal

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for the development of a suitable service organization according to Client Mining standards
Coordination with Client after sales and spare parts departments
Definition and setup of required service organization , manpower and support for recruitment and training according to customer requirements and site conditions
Definition and setup of required tools , support equipment and workshop according to customer requirements and site conditions
Follow-up and coordination with Client Mining product support specialists and inspectors
Definition and setup of adequate stock of spare parts and location of warehouses in cooperation with spare parts department
Provide quick and efficient technical support for the existing fleet of equipment
Develop and implement technical reporting systems for the existing fleet of equipment ( component life times , mechanical availability , major failures ) according to Client standards ( Service Guide )
Work on corrective actions in cooperation with after sales department
Giving guidance and advise to the field engineers on maintenance and repair of mining equipment
Periodic inspection of equipment and dressing diagnostic and parts proposals for repair and overhaul
Establishment of necessary contacts in all levels within mines as well as with mines managers in head quarters
Establish and maintain customer spare parts stock data base in cooperation with our Field Manager
Work out of technical offers under guidance and support of current Service Manager
Give guidance and support to local spare parts administration
Follow spare parts tenders from establishing offer- proforma till invoicing and collection of payment

Professional Requirements:

Bachelor or Master degree in engineering
Several years of experience in after sales and technical support
Good technical and commercial knowledge of heavy mobile equipment used in mining applications
Experience in project management and execution of MARC

Personal Requirements:

Good communication and presentation skills
High level of autonomy and responsibility
Unlimited mobility and willingness to travel extensively in the mining regions in India as well to other client facilities around the world
Capable of managing high frustration levels
Creative
Reliable and loyal
